【Japan Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation】Exhibition tour to communicate with letters and pictures ~ Let’s go around with science communicators with transparent subtitle panels (with sign language interpretation) (8/3 (Sun)) will be held.

2025/08/01

This is a tour where you can enjoy using letters and pictures while taking a closer look at the exhibitions of the Miraikan.
Visitors will walk around the exhibition floor with a science communicator and sign language interpreter with a transparent subtitled display called “See-Through Captions”*. On the display, the words spoken by the science communicator are displayed in letters.

With the theme of “What does it mean to become an adult?”, we will go around the exhibitions of “Cells under research and development” and “Aging Park”. Let’s communicate what we felt during the tour through letters, pictures, sign language, gestures, etc., and think about the theme together. You may find a different way to enjoy the exhibition.

About “See-Through Captions”
It was developed by researchers from the xDiversity Project, which is located in the research area of the Miraikan, with the desire to facilitate communication between hearing and non-hearing people. We have conducted demonstration experiments at the Miraikan so far.
